Bio
Yumika Hoskin is an Australian-Japanese wellness advocate, content creator, and entrepreneur based in Miami, Florida. Her journey spans continents, industries, and a profound personal transformation that continues to shape everything she does.
The Early Years
After completing her degree in Melbourne, Yumika launched her career as a fashion stylist before her Eurasian heritage and striking presence took her across regional Asia as a commercial model. Her big break came on SuperModel Me, the pan-Asian reality series, which opened doors to a thriving television career across Singapore, Australia, and the US, hosting and presenting for networks including MTV Asia, ESPN, and BuzzFeed's Bring Me, and emceeing high-profile events across the region.
Entrepreneur and Sustainability Advocate
In 2019, Yumika channelled her passion for the environment into founding Peco Bag, a sustainable accessories brand creating stylish, reusable bags from recycled plastic bottles. Launched on Earth Day, Peco Bag grew into a recognised sustainability brand with corporate partnerships spanning property, hospitality, finance, and automotive sectors. Alongside this, Yumika built a nine-year career in influencer marketing and creative consulting, managing 200+ campaigns for global brands including Adobe, Dyson, Clarins, SK-II, Sephora, and Porsche.
The Turning Point
In 2021, Yumika relocated to Miami and life took an unexpected turn. A years-long battle with Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW), a poorly understood and debilitating skin condition, forced her to slow down, look inward, and completely reimagine her relationship with health. What began as a personal crisis became a catalyst. Through her healing, Yumika was drawn deeply into Eastern medicine modalities, acupuncture, TCM, and the philosophy of treating the whole person rather than just the symptom.
A New Chapter
Today, Yumika shares her ongoing healing journey with a growing community on TikTok and Instagram, documenting non-toxic living, clean beauty, and the wisdom of natural healing with raw honesty. Now expecting her first child, she has woven mindful motherhood into her content navigating pregnancy with intention.
Later this year, Yumika will begin a Master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, a direct expression of her belief in the transformative power of Eastern healing. Her long-term vision is to open a holistic wellness space where ancient medicine meets modern life, helping others find the path to healing she found herself.
